Eragon

Eragon (2/5) – These days all movies seem to be made with an eye on sequels. This one is based on Eragon, the first book from young writer (1983 born!) Paolini’s Inheritance trilogy. Eragon, a farm boy discovers a dragon egg and when it hatches into a dragon he realizes he is the chosen one to kill the evil king and bring back the good times of the Dragon Riders (similar to the Jedi thread in the Star Wars series). The movie feels very similar to Dungeons And Dragons (the movie, which was pretty decent). The book is apparently a great read, the movie however sorely disappoints. Young Edward Speelers and Sienna Guillory are good, Jeremy Irons’ acting is sad. The dragon CG is done excellently (you won’t even notice it), but the screenplay and the evil guys are a joke at best.
